We host the content of our website with an external provider.

External Hosting

This website is hosted externally. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the host. This may in particular include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, access data of registered members, names, website accesses, and other data generated via a website.

External hosting is carried out in the interest of the secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Our host will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil its performance obligations and will follow our instructions. We use the following host:

Data processing agreement. We have concluded a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. This ensures that the host processes the personal data of this website’s visitors exclusively in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Transfer of data to the USA. As the host is based in the USA, personal data may be transferred to the USA. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), which are intended to guarantee an adequate level of data protection.

3. Content Delivery Network and Security (Cloudflare)

We use the Cloudflare service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare provides a globally distributed content delivery network (CDN) with security functions. The technical data traffic between your browser and our website is routed via Cloudflare’s servers.

This allows Cloudflare to process technical data such as, in particular, your IP address in order to fend off malicious traffic, detect attacks (e.g. so-called DDoS attacks), distinguish automated access (bots), and speed up the delivery of the website. For this purpose, Cloudflare may set technically necessary security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm). These serve solely the security and functionality of the website and are not used for analytics or advertising purposes.

The use of Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest in a secure, stable, and efficient provision of our website and in protection against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
